What's Included?

Join our coach trip as we visit the UNESCO World Heritage City Bruges, home to a charming city centre packed with history and heritage.

After crossing the channel by Eurotunnel we head for Belgium, where you will get 3-4 hours at leisure. Customers alight the coach at the Bruges coach drop off point, near the red bridge which takes you across the canal. It is a 10 - 15 minute walk through the park and through the old town before reaching the centre.

Bruges is a romantic town of canals and cobbled lanes, steeples and bells. Visitors are enticed by its Gothic, Romanesque and Renaissance architecture, atmospheric streets and its love for chocolate. The attractions of this magical place include a wide range of museums, churches, historical buildings and canals that can be explored by either boat, foot or horse.

The Market Square is the heart of Bruges, but the Burg Square is its soul. For centuries this has been the centre of power in the city, and Bruges’ city administration still occupies the 14th century Gothic Town Hall. This grand, majestic square is lined with monumental landmark buildings. These were built over the centuries, and reflect the building style of their age. A handy architectural guide assembled in a single square! From the Basilica of the Holy Blood through the Liberty of Bruges to the Deanery. Immerse yourself in the riches of Bruges.

The Belfry is the most striking tower in Bruges dates back to the 13th century, is 83 metres high and is protected as a world heritage site. Anyone who climbs all 366 steps will be rewarded with a stunning view over the city and its surroundings. On your way up, you can stop off at the treasury, which held the city’s charters, seals and coffers during the Middle Ages. A few steps further on you will see the impressive music drum that operates the carillon and the keyboard used by the city carilloneur to play the tower’s 47 carillon bells.

A visit to Bruges is not complete without a boat trip on the Bruges canals, the arteries of the city. Accompanied by swans floating alongside you on the water, you will discover Bruges from a surprising perspective, because some things you can only see from the water! You can embark at one of the five landing stages in the heart of Bruges. For half an hour, the captain will take you on a tour of the most beautiful spots on the water between Jan van Eyck Square and the Beguinage. Along the way, you will be able to admire some of Bruges' highlights from a completely different angle and will be given an explanation of what you see.
